Last January 2013, I attended the CDO Christian Bloggers Monthly Fellowship. It was our first meet-up since we decided to create a group at Facebook last year.

Mommy Judy of Train of Thoughts, one of our group’s co-admin, hosted the event at her work place. Our fellowship was attended by several active members of our group. They are (from left) Carlo, Pastor Giovanni and his wife Mommy Grace, Mommy Karen, ME, Mommy Ems, Mommy Ann, Mommy Judy and Mommy Lalaine.

Of course, a fellowship would not be complete without a word of encouragement. So our fellow blogger and pastor, Pastor Giovanni shared to us a very meaningful message. He took it from the verse Ephesians 5:15-17 and gave a whole new meaning to the word BLOG!

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” ~ Ephesians 5:15-17

B – Be careful with your ways.

L – Love wisdom, be wise in everything you do so that you will be a blessing to others.

O – Opportunity – always be wise in taking them. Do not compromise what’s valuable just to blog. Not all opportunities are good for you and even your blogs.

G – God first in everything you do and everything will be in place.

The message left a very deep impact in me as I am so guilty of going overboard. Not that I am really busy but because of my laziness, I tend to cram most of the time just to accommodate impending tasks. When this happen, I always put going to church or reading the Bible as my last priority. So this 2013, I want to be more organize and give value in making myself live a balanced life. Aside from that, I want to give more time to the ONE who took care of me by spending Quite Time with HIM.

After our fellowship, some of us stayed behind and enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant. It was a wonderful night. I am excited what will be in-stored for us this February.

A few years ago, I started a “spiritual” blog. I intended to write about my beliefs and how I perceive life but then, later on, I stopped talking about such things because I monetized that blog. Instead of talking about my faith and be a blessing to others, I kept talking about other things not related to my niche. Eventually, my spiritual blog died an inevitable death!

After that, I tried to make one after another but due to some reason, it didn’t push through. I gave up on the domain and gave it and some got expired. So just last month, I decided to give it another try. Not a spiritual blog per se since I am not that “religious” but I wanted a place where I can share my thoughts on what I currently believe in and of world issues based on this. I want a clean blog to write about these things and will not have any intention of accepting paid posts.

This blog will also talk about the books I have read and probably make a short review about it to share my own opinion. As you can see, I am a self-confessed bookworm but I only read self help books on topics concerning about life, family, money and relationships.

I am starting to begin a new journey. This time, I don’t know how long this blog will last but I surely hope and pray that this will go on for so long and will become a blessing to others especially for women like me.
